Due to law changes to the Limousine Industry (from October 1st 2009), the ONLY limousines Legally able to carry up to 8 passengers have to go through an IVA Approval process. (This approval replaces the existing SVA Approval). The Approval makes sure that the vehicle itself is in a satisfactory roadworthy condition and completely compliant to UK and European Law, this is known as IVA (Independent Vehicle Approval). If the vehicle does not have IVA or SVA Approval, then it is simply not allowed to operate as an 8 passenger carrying limousine. All our Chrysler 300 Limousines have these approvals. Once completed they are imported to the UK by esteemed Limousine sales company,1st4Limosales Ltd. Once imported, they are modified to complete the IVA approval process. When the IVA Approval has been granted the vehicle can obtain its Licence to operate under Private Hire Law, this is issued by the Local government. Once all this process is completed, we are then and only then, operating fully within the Law. Remember our Limousines are only driven by fully insured, trained and Licenced CRB (police checked) chauffeurs.
You should never hire a 8 passenger limousine that does not have SVA or IVA Approval or a Licence to Operate. Do not be frightened to ask for proof of their status. If you are not sure if an operator is legal (has all the accreditation necessary) simply call your local Taxi enforcement officer for clarification.
